Shawn Stoen, Program Manager

Shawn Stoen is the Program Manager for the Central and West Central MN Healthcare Preparedness Coalitions. She has been the Program Manager since 2022.  As Program Manager she is responsible for the grant finances, grant deliverables, collaboration with State and Federal partners as well as supporting the lead RHPCs for the Coalitions and working with Hospitals and Clinics.  Prior to taking on the role as Program Manager – Shawn was the Regional Healthcare Preparedness Coordinator (RHPC) for the West Central Coalition.  She has been working with the Healthcare Preparedness Program grants since 2012.  Shawn has a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Safety and Emergency Management and an associates degree in nursing.  She maintains an active Licensed Practical Nurse license in addition to her Emergency Medical Technician certification. Prior to her work in Emergency Preparedness, Shawn worked as a clinical nurse, community health nurse and also in a skilled nursing facility.  Shawn is married and has an adult son.  She is a volunteer first responder on two squads in Douglas and Pope counties.  She currently resides in Alexandria, MN.  In her spare time she enjoys photography, camping, crochet and other crafts.

Katrina Hennen, RHPC

Katrina is the Regional Healthcare Preparedness Coordinator (RHPC) for the Central MN Healthcare Preparedness Coalition. She has been with the coalition since 2020. As the RHPC some of the work she is responsible for are grant deliverables, assisting with planning and facilitating trainings/exercises, and collaborating with State and Federal partners as well as all coalition members. Katrina has a Bachelor of Science degree in Community Health. She has been working in healthcare for over 16 years. Prior to working in Emergency Preparedness, she worked in Behavioral Health- Addiction Services for 11 years. Katrina is married with 3 kids that keep her busy with all of their different sporting events. In her spare time she thoroughly enjoys seasonal camping with family and friends, playing lots of different types of games, traveling as much as her schedule allows and keeps busy making as many memories as possible.

David Miller, Education Specialist

David Miller is the Education Specialist for the Central & West Central MN Healthcare Preparedness Coalitions. He has been involved with the MN HPC for over 15 years. As the Education Specialist, David is responsible for the implementation of the multi-year Integrated Preparedness Plan (IPP). This plan is the footprint for all trainings, exercises, and offerings that the coalition supports and sponsors. These sessions focus on staff safety, site protection, and coalition/community engagement. David has maintained his Paramedicine and Community Paramedic licenses in MN for over 30 years, as well as a variety of FEMA T-t-T certifications. David is also the Commander of the MN Mobile Medical Team (MN-MMT), works as a paramedic for CentraCare EMS and Saint Cloud Hospital Emergency Trauma Center (ETC). David is married with 2 adult children and resides in St. Cloud, MN. On the off chance of a few spare moments, David enjoys spending time with family outdoors on the lake or at the family cabin.

Michelle Reents

Michelle Reents is the Respiratory Protection Program Educator for the West Central and Central Healthcare Preparedness Coalitions.  Michelle started working with the coalitions in the Fall of 2022 and has been providing education at long term care facilities throughout the regions.  Michelle has been a Licensed Practical Nursing since 1995, and continues to maintain her license.  Michelle has working in skilled nursing facilities, pediatric homecare, and the clinical setting.  While working in the clinical setting she supported several specialty areas.  She recently joined the Minnesota Mobile Medical Team in January 2024.   Michelle has completed several courses at the CPD FEMA training facility in Anniston Alabama, including the Respiratory Program.  Michelle is married and has a beautiful, blended family with four adult sons, one daughter in law, and four grandchildren.  In her spare time, Michelle enjoys spending time with her family and friends, camping, and especially cheering on her son’s racing at local dirt tracks in Minnesota.

Mitchell Miller

Mitchell Miller provides educational and logistical support for the Central MN Healthcare Preparedness Coalition. Mitchell teaches the FEMA Hospital Emergency Response Team (HERT) course while also being versed in Respiratory Protection, Radio Communications via 800 MHz radio, and staff safety. Mitchell is a Paramedic with CentraCare EMS and has been a member of the MN Mobile Medical Team (MN-MMT) since 2015. When Mitchell has spare time, he enjoys being outdoors and at the family cabin.
